Welcome to LSU’s newest tradition:

Start a new LSU tradition with commemorative ornaments featuring the LSU Quad, an LSU oak tree, Mike the Tiger, and a celebration of LSU's 150th anniversary.

LSU will introduce an ornament each fall, creating a series that celebrates Tiger spirit and is fun to collect. All proceeds support the LSU Foundation’s Campus Beautification Fund.

The 2013 Lakes Ornament

In the 1930s, the LSU lakes were developed from swamps as a public works project. Today, they are a destination for LSU students, faculty, staff, alumni, visitors, and the greater Baton Rouge community. Each winter, the LSU lakes are visited by flocks of pelicans. These elegant, beautiful birds provide a breathtaking view during their time on campus and beckon photographers eager to capture the striking sight of them settling on the water. The 2013 ornament captures the lively spirit of "the lakes" as a celebration of natural beauty and an opportunity for people of all ages to exercise together while enjoying a peaceful waterfront view.
